Collective Worship

As a Church of England School and a proud member of the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Dicoesan Multi Academy Trust, we place Christian values, respect and empathy at the heart of our community, where diversity is valued and celebrated.

Our school vision is 'Together we are a PRECIOUS team; We work hard to shine and gleam!’ The Christian bible talks of God seeing humans as his jewels in the making (Malachi 3:16-17)

As well as celebrating our precious values throughout our daily school life to support us with our learning and relationships with others, they also underpin our collective worship. Through our daily programme of assemblies, our children deepen their learning and understanding of our precious values through key bible stories and passages, traditional and modern stories, art and music.

Each half term, we shine a spotlight on one of our PRECIOUS values through which we explore the Christian values for life and also our British Values.

Our value of success is celebrated throughout the year and through displays, sharing of success and achievements from outside of school and during our weekly celebration and sharing assemblies.

Celebration Assemblies

These take place on Friday mornings and are a chance for teachers to share news about the work and learning from their class during the week. Individual children are also highlighted for showing particular strength and success with one or more of our precious values.

Sharing Assemblies

Each term, every class prepares a special sharing assembly to which parents and carers are invited. This is a child-led assembly in which the children share their fantastic work and learning. Sharing assemblies are always great fun, covering learning from all parts of the curriculum and are often enriched with live learning displays and music.

NB: As our youngest class, Ruby Class begin their sharing assemblies from the Spring Term in which they start school.
