Computing
The aim of our computing curriculum is to equip pupils with the skills to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. With deep links into other subjects and a core of computer science, our intent is that pupils can build on this knowledge and understanding, and are equipped to do so, through our gems (big ideas):
Computer Science - use information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content.
Information Technology - We also intend that children will become digitally literate, be able to express themselves and develop their ideas and creativity through information and communication technology.
Digital Literacy - As children progress through the school, they should develop an understanding of and be able to apply principles and concepts of computer science and become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology, and know how to keep themselves safe online.
