Data Protection (GDPR)
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a piece of EU-wide legislation which determines how people’s personal data is processed and kept safe, and the legal rights individuals have in relation to their own data.
‘Personal data’ means information that can identify a living individual.
The regulation applies to all schools, and will apply even after the UK leaves the EU.
As the school is part of the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan Multi Academy Trust (MAT), we are subject to the MAT’s Data Protection Policy, which can be found at the bottom of this page.
Our school has an appointed data protection officer (DPO) through School’s Choice. The role of the DPO is to inform and advise the school on its data protection obligations.
If you have any questions in relation to GDPR within our school, you can speak with our headteacher or contact the DPO at: [email protected].
