Easter Celebration at the Church
It was wonderful to see so many parents, carers and friends at the church on Thursday for our Easter Service. It was a jam-packed service full of singing, poems and readings and gave us a chance to gather together as a community to celebrate this special time of year—filled with hope, renewal, and new beginnings. Ruby Class’ performance of Spring Chicken was fantastic and had the whole audience and school smiling and dancing along. Emerald Class shared a fantastic poem which they read together with good fluency and confidence. Sapphire Class treated us to fascinating facts about the history of Easter Eggs and Diamond Class linked our service together with their excellent readings throughout of the Easter Story. Well done also to our school choir for their lovely performance and congratulations to the soloists on their great singing. We would like to thank Vicar Geoffrey for hosting. A special thanks also to Jenny and Stephanie from the Harriet Lloyd Foundation for continuing the long-standing tradition of presenting each of our Year 3 children with a bible —and to Stephanie for sharing her letter about her time and success as a pupil at the school, along with the bible she was given in 1960.
