Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE)
Our school’s PSHE education programme will support our pupils to thrive in a time of rapid change, with new and unpredictable opportunities and challenges constantly emerging.
Our PSHE curriculum enables children to become healthy, independent and responsible members of the school community and society.
We intend that children will understand how they are developing personally and socially and give them understanding of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
We believe it is not enough to simply teach pupils about the issues covered in the subject content. It is vital that pupils have the opportunity to explore their attitudes, values and beliefs about these issues and to develop the skills, language and strategies necessary to manage such issues should they encounter them. Our three key themes are Health and Wellbeing; Relationships; Living in the Wider World.
