Wild Woods
If you go down to the woods today...
Children in our Reception and Key Stage 1 classes spend every Friday afternoon exploring and learning in the Wild Woods with Mrs Leaf, Mrs Polley the Parrot, Mrs Hedgehog, Mrs Owl and Mrs Nut!
Learning in the Wild Woods provides a wonderful opportunity for our children and young people to learn through fun experiences in our fantastic on-site woodland setting, supporting and benefitting both academic and personal development.
It’s a great opportunity to work as part of a team and develop and learn lots of practical skills such as making and using tools, den building, campfires, learning about native plants and outdoor cooking! It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful seasonal changes we see across the year.
Wild Woods sessions also provide a fantastic and memorable way to explore and learn some key curriculum content in subjects such as Science, Design and Technology, Art and PSHE.
You can find out more about our Wild Woods provision by visiting the Outdoor Learning page within our curriculum section.
